1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Audmit website at www.audmit.com (the "Site"), including the self-assessment tool, resource center, and any related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

Audmit provides technology and compliance-consulting services related to California AI regulation. The Site offers:

  • A self-assessment tool that generates a preliminary compliance snapshot based on information you provide
  • Informational content about California AI statutes, including plain-language explainers and a compliance calendar
  • Information about Audmit's compliance service, including the four-phase engagement model
  • Forms for contacting Audmit, applying to the of-counsel network, and expressing interest in the referral program

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Site for its intended informational and self-assessment purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site's systems, databases, or networks
  • Submit false or misleading information through any form or the self-assessment tool
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Site in a manner that impairs its availability to others
  • Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit Site content without our written permission

4. No Reliance on Informational Content

The content on this Site — including statute explainers, the compliance calendar, the self-assessment tool, and all other materials — is provided for informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, and you should not rely on it as a substitute for professional legal counsel.

Self-assessment results are preliminary estimates based on the information you provide. They are not legal opinions, do not create an attorney-client relationship, and should not be treated as a definitive determination of your regulatory obligations. See the Self-Assessment Terms for complete details.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, user interface design, code, and the Audmit name and logo — is the property of Audmit or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may view and print copies of Site content for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not modify the content or remove any proprietary notices. All other rights are reserved.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that the information provided will be complete, accurate, or current at all times.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Audmit and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Site, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or any other legal theory — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Governing Law & Venue

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
